Intro
Over the years there have been many changes in weapons and it has completely changed warfare. There were many types of weapons used in the medieval times such as bladed hand weapons, daggers and knives, blunt hand weapons, polearms, ranged weapons, guns, and artillery, and artillery cannons.

Swords
There were many swords created in the medieval times but three of the swords that were used the most include arming swords, broadswords, and falchions. An arming swords also known as knights swords are single handed cruciform swords. That means that they are swords used with one hand and that are in the shape of a cross. They are light and versatile weapons, and only using one hand to hold the sword the person using it would have the other hand available for grabbing their opponent. They were considered secondary weapons used as a last resort but they were good for stabbing through gaps in armour to puncture the heart. Some of the types of daggers used were anelaces, stilettos, and rondels. An anelace is a long two edged dagger almost like a short sword. They were often carried and used in pairs. Stilettos are short daggers with long slim blades and a pointed rigid end. They are good for stabbing because they deeply puncture the person being stabbed but they are not good for cutting things. A rondel was a stiff bladed european dagger used by a wide variety of people. It typically had a long slim blade and had a round hand guard and a round grip on the end. The blade was stiff and diamond shaped with a sharp point on the end making it good for cutting and stabbing but it was not able to be as useful for slashing motions. There are other variations of the rondel such as the four edged rondel with a cruciform (cross shaped) profile but that made the dagger unable to cut so they were mostly used as utility
