There is only strength to be found when a situation is conquered. In Elie Wiesel's

memoir Night, the situation that Eliezer and his father find himself in is possibly the greatest tragedy in human history. The story of a young boy and his father trapped

under the cold watch of the Nazi party, behind the barbed wire of concentration camps

is one of struggle and desperation and loss. However, Wiesel attempts to convey a

powerful message of strength and faith in people and how sometimes the bonds you

form with others can often be the strongest part of a person.

setback to his advantage, growing stronger and kinder and more caring to the one

will do to maintain it. The way that trauma can build up love between people who care

about one another, doing whatever they can to help the other through. Seen all from

Elie’s viewpoint, understanding that love, no matter the kind, will always have rough

patches and moments in which one feels hopeless, ready to leave it behind as though it

was never sustainable in the first place. The love between Elie and his father

experiences its hardships, some that Elie will never be able to forget. But he is taught a
