`The ones they leave behind can only sit and cry`. Have you ever had someone in your family leave you and couldn’t do anything about it but sit and cry. The song, Get Along, was released in November 2012 as the fourth single from Guy Sebastian’s seventh album Armageddon. Get Along reached number 5 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
The song, Get Along, effectively expresses the emotion of the song. Guy Sebastian portrays this well via the tones he uses, in some stages his voice goes high and sometimes his voice goes low. Guy Sebastian wrote this song to highlight the issues of this world today such as religion vs religion, race against race, street gangs battling it out and countries at war. The song, Get Along, was successful at getting its message across because of the amount of the repetition of lyrics that Guy Sebastian has used. The message was also successful because he gets his message across by his choice of the words and the sound of his tone.
This song had me crying when I wrote this due to the tone of this song. The tone was extremely sad and also sullen because the artist, Guy Sebastian, was expressing the pain and sorrow through the sound of his voice and his words. The song, Get Along, is successful
