Hear The Bellies ROAR There is a large group of freshmen attending the University of North Alabama this year. Students come from different states and countries to join The Pride here at UNA. There are some students who attend here and have transportation to drive themselves to places that they desire, but there are also students that do not have transportation at all. Here at the University of North Alabama, students enjoy the food choices that the school has to offer such as, Chick-Fil-A, WOW Cafe, Pizza Hut, and the list goes on, but there is a problem. On the weekends some of the food courts are closed and it may be a big problem to the students with no transportation and students with transportation, but no extra money. Students are forced to eat at the cafeteria and it is not fair that they pay so much money to eat at places that they cannot attend to that much on the weekends. Why is the University set up that way? UNA needs more food options for students and should change its food court policies. Here at the University of North Alabama students are given Mane cards, which is a student ID card that is used for …show more content…
Students feel that because they are so limited with their options, it takes away from them socializing with one another. The food court in the GUC should be longer than what it is now and should be open more on the weekends. The GUC does not close until 9:00 p.m. and whenever someone wants to go there and get something to eat, they can never get there on time. The Commons should be open on Sundays as well. Because Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays, it should now stay open at a later time on Saturdays. More students eat there more than any other food court on campus, and it would be really great for business. If the board for the University of North Alabama agrees to this, it will make a big change for students who attend here on
