Being able to help others weather that means mentally or physically giving them something to hold, has always been a passion of mine. I am a new student here at Linn-mar, moving here from Anamosa about a year ago. At my old school I was part of the ambassadors program where we read books to the second graders and prepared school activities such as sidewalk chalk days and giving ideas for FLEX. Flex happened every other Wednesday when we had an early out. During flex you could participate in two full or four half courses in which you would learn a new skill or craft. I enjoyed lending my hand to not only my classmates but my teachers as well. When working with people the joy you get from having got someone through something is amazing, you can’t being to explain the emotional side when you have helped someone accomplish something they couldn't do prior. Most of that was things I did at my old school, here at Linn-Mar the ambassadors program doesn't do as much as I thought they would. I have experience being a leader i've been in charge of clubs including; lego league, mathletes, and i've worked with other groups; band, choir, honor band, honor choir, jazz band, color guard, ambassadors. Here i’ve joined new groups like spectrum and LM buddies. My point is I know how to work with groups and have a background in many things. Spending time with people is one of my favorite pastimes and helping people is the other. If all I do is sort papers in the attendance office i’ll be happy but all of us have so much more potential, by putting our heads together we could come up with a new way to be the ambassadors we don't have to be limited to new students and employees he have the ability and resources to express
