What's considered a homeless youth? Homeless youth is when one lacks an adequate residence without being in a parent’s or guardian’s physical custody. The ages typically range from 15 and 24 years of age. When exploring the topic, there are a few factors that seem to relate to the issue. Reasons related can be family problems, economic problems, transitions from public systems and foster care, and even sexual identity. Family problems can stem from parents being addict substance abuse, parental neglect, and physical or sexual abuse.
