Homelessness is still a big problem in today’s society, and it doesn’t just affect the homeless, it also affects the people around them. Homelessness starts with things like addictions, expensive medical bills, lawsuits, loss of jobs, mental illnesses, or trying to rejoin society as a veteran. Some solutions people have thought of were to get them to care to battle their addiction or mental illness and build a type of sanctuary, that has small, but enough homes in that area to start them off. Homelessness has been rising in most areas of the USA. It doesn’t just affect the homeless, but their families/relatives, owners of buildings that they sleep outside of on the streets, and economically too. Although it might not be their fault, it’s still another reason that people try to avoid being near the homeless. In the USA, homelessness is still growing in numbers, and homelessness has a bigger impact than just on homeless individuals. It affects their families, business owners, and the economy. It's a complex issue that can web out to people who could be almost completely unconnected to the homeless themselves. Homeless people have a variety of causes and their own stories of what got them into this situation, but they all branch out from these 5 main problems.
