Micah prophesied the birth of the Messiah in Bethlehem. Which the ruler of Israel came out Bethlehem which was King David who succeeded King Saul by God design he knew Saul would reject his word, so God rejected Saul as King (Samuel 1 15-23) so God got him a new King in David. Jesus was a descendant of David who was of the tribe of Judah. This prophecy was in the making ever since Abraham or you can say since the beginning of time since God is all-knowing. Before this prophecy could happen Joseph who descendant of David had to accept Jesus as his son. (Matthew 1 18-24 NIV) to fulfill the prophecy. The House of David was threatened because Jesus had to come from the lineage of Joseph of royal decent even thou Jesus was conceived through the virgin birth. In (Isaiah 7 13-15) King Ahaz was the head of The House of David which was portrayed as an evil king (2Kings 16-2) Ahaz was trying God patience so Isaiah addressed the house telling them 14Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel.
