How Did The United States Gain Power From 1700 To 1850

There are many battles and war that have taken place in the past and maybe in the present too but in between the years 1700 to 1850 there was tons of it, in fact the British and the French had fought on multiple occasions and both had control over North America at some point. In the end of this destructive 150 years a responsible government was formed which was essentially a democracy system inside of what was at the time Eastern and Western Canada. It all started with the war of the Spanish Succession ending in 1713 and Britain taking over Accadia, then in 1763 power changed in North America when the seven years war was won by Britain, from there the American revolution took place in 1791 and many British Loyalists came into British North America to support the British, and finally the union of the Canadas which occurred in 1849 united Upper and Lower Canada with Quebec. And throughout the years 1700 to 1850 Canada was very unstable, power kept on changing and borders kept on shifting as a result of war …show more content…
The war of the Spanish succession was Britain, France and the other countries in Europe were battling over controlling Spain. The war was caused when Charles II died 1700 and the other countries fought over who would control Spain. In the end the treaty of Utrecht split the land including Britain gaining control over Acadia. This ended up being a major problem for France in the future as this was only the beginning of Britain taking over North America.
