How To Make Your Own Toothpaste
General Purpose – To demonstrate
Specific Purpose – To demonstrate to my audience how to make their own toothpaste
Central Idea –The recipe I’m going to show you today is a simple, safe and effective way to make a healthful toothpaste from ingredients you most likely have in your own kitchen.
INTRODUCTION
I’m always looking for safer alternatives to products that are mass produced. The desire to have access to safer products all started a few years ago when I lost a pet to treats that were mass produced in China. It made me realize, that I needed to pay more attention to what ingredients were in the products I used for myself as well. Today I will show you how to take five simple ingredients you probably have in your own kitchen and combine them to make a very simple paste for cleaning your teeth that is much safer than commercially produced products and equally as effective. Let’s take a look at how simple it is to make your own toothpaste.
Transition: Like many do-it-yourself projects, we need to first start by gathering the ingredients required to make this wonderful product.
