Political Values and Political Attitude As a quiz result of the website theadvocates.org, I prefer a middle ground regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, I sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. I keep an openness mind, and emphasize the practical solutions to problems. These are the major reasons why I select to be conservative, across with contemporary liberal because I prefer self –restraint, patient, and order as my primary values. According to the Longman dictionary, self-restraint is the ability to stop myself doing or saying something, even though I want to, because it is more sensible not to do or say it. I think the majority of US civilians are self-esteem, they respect other as themselves. Thus, on the gun issue, I think government should not ban all gun ownership by civilians, especially handguns and assault rifles, but rather to regular the law of gun ownership. Being patient is one of the great Christianity’s attitudes. It marks with the letters “In God We Trust” on the US bill, I assume that US is a Christian religion country. I think it can introduce more religion in schools, and also allow faith-based government initiatives. Thus the next generation can realize their individual value, and enhance their ability for dealing with the globalization. On the world peace issue, I think government need to negotiate first and only take military action if sanctioned by the U.N. and other world organizations. In personal, I think liberty and order cannot be segregated. I am upbeat about the country's ability to solve problems and an individual's ability to get ahead through hard work. I consent with the government to use more socialistic policies and regulate properly on the free market and environmental protection. On the immigrants’ issue, I think…
students, and to solve social disputes between the children and their peers. Without a boss at work, a business will be unable to succeed and flourish. Our government are the top authorities in our world, without it the citizens of America will act insane. America would not be able to function without having a person or group of people (government) making the decisions, making rules, and enforcing the law upon the citizens.
An example of how important authority actually is when children are in class…

Assignment 4-Political Ideology
1. How would you have classified yourself before you took this quiz?
Prior to taking this quiz, I would have classified myself as a Democrat. However, I appreciate Republicans because I agree with some of their policies regarding immigration and abortion. Republicans are important because they keep things from getting too liberal, which could make our country a communist or socialist society.
2. How were you classified as a result…
A Word about Political Ideologies
A political ideology is a belief about the way the govt should behave or the role of the govt. For example, if you feel that the govt should provide health care for everyone or provide welfare to people who are poor and need assistance, then you are labeled a “Liberal.” You are liberal if you feel people have the right to be whatever they want to be and that everyone should be treated equally including gays, the poor and minorities.
On the other hand, if you…
Author's Note : I have created this ideology with a tiny bit of radicalism because most of the current ideologies are based on radical ideas and in this day and age where most of the ideologies that will be founded have already been founded, it is more important than ever that a new ideology be radical in nature. That being said, the ideology I have decided to form is based on a religious belief and set of ideas that you might not agree with (I realize some ideas might be controversial), but I hope…

Age of Enlightenment , that typically addresses the questions of the origin of
society and the legitimacy of the authority of the state over the individual. Social
contract arguments typically posit that individuals have consented, either
explicitly or tacitly, to surrender some of their freedoms and submit to the
authority of the ruler or magistrate (or to the decision of a majority), in exchange…

not only make their cities work, but go beyond their given call with such ambition that they leave an imprint on the minds of countries all over the world.
Granted, I recognize that to treat your remaining citizens as lesser beings is to commit political suicide. To do so would jeopardize our understanding of democracy and throw any remaining notion of justice out the window. To which I would respond with an argument of similar reason and interest as I have described thus far. Edward Rawls' ideas…
media should have in the way that we address political issues?
The way which political issues are addressed is really important, as it is able to sway the public’s view of the involved parties. Information should be presented in a clear, unbiased and factual way. This will allow individuals to make their own judgments’ based on facts and the evidence presented to them. It is hard to make an educated suggestion about the best way to deliver news about political issues. Politics is an important topic which…
Political Ideology Paper
Many people have different opinions on political subjects. The ways a person may feel about these subjects determine what they are in the political world. I personally do not follow politics like other people older than me do, but I do consider myself to be a moderate democrat. Both of my parents are democrats, and they choose to be of this political spectrum because they feel like the Democratic Party represents them. They feel as they stand for…
Socrates 469 BC–399 BC, was a classical Greek Athenian philosopher. Credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy, he is an enigmatic figure known chiefly through the accounts of later classical writers, especially the writings of his students Plato and Xenophon, and the plays of his contemporary Aristophanes. Many would claim that Plato's dialogues are the most comprehensive accounts of Socrates to survive from…
