Illegal immigration is becoming a common topic due to all the political and racial tension going on, in the world today. Immigrants are what made America become what it is today, and it is the reason why that is full of diverse culture that makes America like a patched quilt full of different nationalities. Immigrants, however, are becoming scarce with the threat of a wall, and that isn’t beneficial since they contribute so much. Their contribution is an integral part of America’s society, but the citizens don’t realize that. The U.S. should handle illegal immigration equitably, because it strengthens the American economy, it isn’t increasing crime rates, and it doesn’t harm border communities. Not only are immigrants keeping those communities safe, but they also work the low-wage/skill jobs that boost the United States’ local tax base. Immigrants also give companies near the border more able-bodied workers that require low pay, as well. The border communities almost need immigrants, because they seem to be thriving off of them economically-speaking.
