Introduction
Through the insulation experiment, we were studying how insulation can affect the temperature and energy in the house/box that we experimented with. As a class and in our groups, we were looking at how the heat flow was affected by the insulation in our box by warming up and cooling down the box. In the experiment, we were seeing how the insulation prevented the rate of heat flow from being strong. Also, we were studying how the energy was flowing while the temperatures were raising and lowering. We studied how warming and cooling the box with insulation affected the T overtime. Through the test, we were trying to learn how different insulations can have different effects on heat flow. As a class, we wanted to see which insulation

Team 1 with the super tuff-r, ended up with a maximum Tof 49℉ a max Q of 64 BTU/hr which was not the best or worst of the results. Team 2 with the super tuff-r (2 pieces) had a max Tof 49℉ and a max Q of 12.56 BTU/hr. These results were the best of the whole experiment. Group 3, with the cellofoam, Group 4 had the foam project panel and ended up with a Tof 63℉ and a max Q of 45.36 BTU/hr which was in the middle of the results. Group 5 had the foamboard which ended up with a max Tof 62℉ and a max Q of 43 BTU/hr. This was one of the best results and is in second for the best results. The control group had a max Tof 27℉ and a max Q of 650 BTU/hr which was the worst results. This one had no insulation except the box itself which is it had the worst results. All of the results show, the better the insulation (thickness and R-value), the more likely the experiment is going to work for that box. My group had the worse results other than the control experiment. We only had air as an insulation which had a low R-value and thickness. The super tuff-r (2 pieces) had the best results because it had the lowest BTU/hr. It also was a great insulation considering it had the largest R-value and an average thickness. In all, this did match the prediction because by looking at the thickness and R-value of this material the guess would be that the super tuff-r (2 pieces) would
