Is football dangerous?
Football is a fun sport but it can also be very dangerous. It can cause death, concussions in football are very frequent and can lead to death. It can cause many problems to a person's body and even their mind. There are many long and short term injuries. This sport should be banned, it is very dangerous and can lead to death.
Football is a dangerous and even deadly sport, it should be banned. Football has very little laws about its safety and concussions are common in this dangerous sport. As (CDC text 3 line 4) states, “A concussion is caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body” and those things happen all the time in football. Even if a concussion does not cause death in the long run it may cause other things such as “...your ability to do schoolwork and other activities” (CDC text 3 line 44). They use reasons such as “ An athlete suspected of having sustained a concussion during any sports activity including practice or competition must be immediately removed from action and cannot be returned to play on the same day.” (Green text 4 lines 51 - 53). This means that players are taken out if injured but not all players report their injuries so this could be ineffective. Some say that football is safe because of the few safety measures it has, “An athlete suspected of having sustained a concussion cannot return to action until having been evaluated by a licensed health-care provider trained in the evaluation and management of concussions and receiving written clearance from that provider.” (Green text 4 lines 54- 56). People use this as a way of saying that even if a player is suspected of having an injury they will be pulled out of a game.
