While some might believe Jay Heinrichs’ Thank You For Arguing is written for an older audience, I wholeheartedly disagree. This entertaining novel frolics through the rules of rhetoric and the art of an argument, skills in which everyone can benefit. If anything, with Heinrich’s straightforward writing style and constant pop culture references, the novel is primarily directed towards a younger audience. At parts, it even appears as if Heinrich is trying too hard to embrace and connect with young adults, referencing everything from Eminem to National Lampoon's Animal House. Nevertheless, Heinrich always resorts back to classical principles, following the rules of Cicero and Aristotle. Personally, I think that Heinrich uses the perfect amount
