Interview with Karen As I sat down with my wonderful mother on the smooth wooden table, I had no clue what I was getting myself into. She was wearing her reading glasses and a warm fuzzy sweater that looked super comfy. When I gathered my interview questions the beautiful hawaiian sunset was resting in Karen’s hair. Then realizing that the whole reason she went to school was for cutting and styling hair. After zoning out the loud distracting tv to my left I forgot i was starting the interview. First off, I began the interview by asking the name she went by and what school she went to. She answered with “Karen or Kare Bare” to her friends. Karen went to the school called Wanes Beauty School in Santa Cruz California. Kare Bare was nervous the first day of beauty school until she realized that everyone in her class was her age. The instructors / teachers were went by the name of Mr Steve, and Mrs. Linda. Karen told me that Mr. Steve was strict but Mrs Linda was nice and that they were good teachers. She told me that there were no dorms at her school so she lived with her sister named Kathy for her the 42,000 hours she had to complete for her to pass at her WBS. …show more content…
Lucky Karen knew how to take care of herself. Back when she was 10 here parents got a divorce and she had to learn to take care of herself, which meant going into beauty school She was very confident cutting hair and living on her own in the real world. Karens year at WBS sounded like a fun experience. Karen told me how there were some “gnarly girls” in her class that would shave the practise dolls bald (the girl was bald too) But everything else besides those “gnarly girls” sounded
