Karl Marx never specifically gives his definition of happiness, but equates happiness to the vision of human good. He states that as soon as a society or family is formed, class struggle follows. According to Marx, free trade, the idea that any two people are fundamentally free, economic actors with no regulations and entering into any relationship freely, is an exploitation. This is because there is no such thing as free trade. Marx suggests that there are four moments in history: needs which lead to production, produce which leads to more needs, family which leaders to more people, and every mode of production leading to a certain mode of social state.
