Karl Marx never specifically gives his definition of happiness, but equates happiness to the vision of human good. He states that as soon as a society or family is formed, class struggle follows. According to Marx, free trade, the idea that any two people are fundamentally free, economic actors with no regulations and entering into any relationship freely, is an exploitation. This is because there is no such thing as free trade.
