John Bridger, Charlie Croker, Handsome Rob, Lyle, Left Ear, and Steve are a strong team of 6 men who managed to steal $35 million in gold bars from a strongly protected safe in Venice, Italy. The team is led by two of the team members, John Bridger and Charlie Croker. After their successful mission of stealing the gold, Steve who became full of greed and jealousy decided to organize a plan to take all the gold for himself and kill the remaining members of his group. His plan partially worked, as he acquired all the gold however only managed to kill the oldest group member, John. One year later, Charlie learns that Steve moved to California with all the gold. The

The reason I feel this way is because although it showed Left Ear using a hearing aid, the movie did not make his disability so apparent or show him struggle because of it in any way. The only time the film showed him struggling was when he dealt with the incident that caused him to become deaf in his right ear. However, in the present day of the film, Left Ear was portrayed like any other guy and therefore did not necessarily deal with the struggles any other deaf person would most likely have to deal with in their life.

4. Do you feel that this portrayal puts the individual with the disability in a positive or negative light? Please explain.

I feel that this portrayal, although a little bit inaccurate, put Left Ear in a positive light. I feel this way because even though he had this disability, he was still accepted by his peers and given the opportunity to continue on with his normal life. Despite his limit of hearing in his right ear, Left Ear was able to take part in missions with his group and was never disrespected nor excluded because of his disability.
