In a living cell, there are different structures that come with a variety of function that are called organelles. These structure’s functions are similar to a living organism structure, however are smaller in sizes. An living cell can be describe as a hotel in real life, for in a hotel there are different operation in order for it to run smoothly and meets the satisfaction of their guest. The first and the most important structure would be the nucleus. The nucleus, which functions as the control center that contains the DNA, which is the coding that makes all of the proteins in a cell. The position for this organelle would be similar to a general manager. Its functions include protecting the inside of the cell by allowing substances into the cell, while keeping other substances out. In a hotel, the person that has the same responsibilities would be the doorman; he’s responsible for opening doors visitors, as well as checks on and signing for packages and deliveries, carrying them to the elevator and the street, calling for taxis for the guests. The next structure is mitochondria, this organelle is responsible for producing ATP, which is an energy molecule for the cell, and is also utilized by the cell. In a hotel, this function can be described as a hotel maintenance and engineering. They’re the one who provide the electricity and the maintenance throughout the hotel, keeping the energy up through the day and night. Vacuole is organelle that stores food, water, and other materials for use by the cell. The kitchen can be described as vacuole, for it’s a place where food and beverages are made and stored. The next structure is cytoplasm. This structure function to support and protect the cell organelles. In a hotel, the organelles would be described as being a security guard or the hotel security
