Macbeth, thane of Glamis, was recently given the title of thane of Cawdor in addition to his hereditary title. Macbeth is a young thane who was one of the two captains of the army which battled against Macdonwald’s rebels. Banquo, the other captain, and Macbeth had been tasked by the King himself to bring justice to the treasonous curs. They led their army against Macdonwald near the east coast. The battle was long and hard, but brave Macbeth managed to single handedly slay Macdonwald and turn the tides of battle. After orchestrating the brilliant defeat of the rebels, Macbeth mounted Macdonwald’s head on a pike. It was a time of celebration and joy for all loyal king’s men.
