The reproductive system is one of the most vital systems in the body because it determines whether or not the human race can procreate. Unfortunately, both the male and female reproductive systems can encounter hereditary diseases, such as cancer. Because of the difference in reproductive systems, men can present with prostate cancer, while the female reproductive system can cause cervical cancer in women. The reproductive system is composed of two main parts. The female system and the male system each are different in order to produce offspring. Each system has different parts with concerns and problems for both. Both have specific parts in order to produce offspring. The male reproductive systems function is used to produce sperm, at the same time the female reproductive systems function is used to store ova, house ova and produce an egg. The male reproduction system is used to produce and transport sperm, discharge sperm within the female reproductive tract, and also to secrete hormones to maintain the male reproductive systems.
