Renee, Very informative post; I thought you did an excellent job describing the reasons behind the climbing costs of healthcare. It was surprising to me that the cost of healthcare was climbing so much faster than the cost of living. From my undergraduate studies, I learned that pharmaceuticals and medical technology were drivers of the inflation of healthcare however; my courses did not directly link the elderly to rising costs.
