Week 5: Final Project The purpose of this paper is to highlight the life and experience of a mental health counselor. In addition, it will expand on the organization they are employed, the mission of the organization and their job responsibilities.

Buckner International is a comprehensive ministry committed to the transformation and restoration of lives. They are a Christ-centered organization that utilizes ministry to help transform the lives of defenseless children, enhance the lives of senior adults and build strong families through Christ-centered principle (Bucker International, 2015).

The sources of revenue fluctuate, but Buckner is predominantly reliant on on the generosity of donors. Through gifts they acquire nearly $200 million, in which they pour 100% back into the populations that they serve. Another major source of income is from fees for services they provide for children and seniors living with Buckner. A slight portion is funded by the Baptist General Convention of Texas. For example, the senior living community is a not-for-profit organization and is usually based from a religious or charitable foundation.
