Narrative Comparison The data that I have acquired was the temperatures of June from both the year of 2013 and 2014. From the graphical and numerical summaries that I have obtained, I have noticed that the temperatures in the year of 2014 is greater than the temperatures in the year of 2013. This can be proven by the various graphs that are used to display the comparison of the data set. Viewing the back to back stem and leaf plot, one can view that in 2013 the temperatures were all clustered in the 80’s, whereas in 2014 most of the temperatures were in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s. This concludes that in 2014 the temperatures were higher than the temperatures in 2013. Another evidence that supports this statement is by viewing the box plots which displays the five number summary (minimum, first quartile, median, third quartile, maximum). In this figures, the median in 2014 was comparably higher than the median in 2013. The median in 2014 was 87, which means that half of the temperatures were higher than 87 and half of the temperatures were lower. However, the median in 2013 was 84.5, therefore showing that the temperatures in 2013 had lower temperatures than 2014. All the observations in the five number summary in 2014 were respectably higher than the observations in 2013. The side by side boxplots and the histograms are the best graphs used to compare these data observations. This is because the histogram groups the values together and clearly graphs the distribution so
