The Columbian Exchange had positive and negative effects on regions such as Europe and America. Between 1492 and 1750, both of the regions experienced similarities in introduction of new crops, animals, and disease, while having differences in environment, population, and religion. Both of the regions were introduced to new crops that weren’t present in that region. America was exposed to grapes, onions, bananas, and coffee beans, whereas Europe was exposed to potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, and corn.
