1.Install the motherboard

Start up by opening your case. You’ll have to unscrew a couple of screws to slide open the side panels. To start, open up the motherboard and take out the IO shield (the plate that covers the ports on your motherboard) there will be a large space for it on the case. Snapping it into place might take a bit of force, but you must make sure all 4 sides are firmly in place. Now, place your motherboard on the bottom of the case so the ports line up with the IO shield. This will put your motherboard in the correct place, and the holes on the motherboard should line up with the screw holes on the bottom of the case. Fetch your standoff screws and screw the standoffs into the holes on the bottom of the case, then place the motherboard on top. Screw the motherboard

For your powerful graphic card (if you have one) you will need to plug the graphic card into the power supply. Plug this cable from the power supply straight into the back of the graphics card. If your card doesn’t have a socket, don’t bother plugging it in, but if it does have a socket, plug it in.

SATA Power and Data cables: This is where your hardrive and optical drive plug in. There will be a skinny black cable coming from your power supply, which powers the drives, and the other will be a red cable from the motherboard. This is the SATA cable which transfers your data from your drive to your other parts. Plug the power cable into your hardrive, and the SATA into the other socket on the back of the hardrive. Plug the other side into the motherboard with the socket labeled “SATA”

Molex cables: The molex cables are used to power spontaneous parts of your PC, such as your fans. Plug your fan cables (or cables for your parts) into the molex cable on your power supply, use some force. You may have another cable off your fans which plug in to your motherboard. These are there so you can monitor their
