Ötzi the iceman is a 5,000 year old man who was murdered and whose body was then found high up in the Italian Alps in 1991. Scientists say that the location in which Ötzi was found is quite interesting because he was found in a location that only highly experienced hikers would go. Next to his body, rescuers found his backpack full of supplies and his weapons laid out nearby. After finding his body and everything that came along with it, the scientist took everything back to a lab to make further examinations.

A team of scientist performed a lot of different examinations on the body but did not find anything to exciting. Days and weeks went by, but they still found nothing . After performing multiple scans on the body, the scientists found a arrow in his back which happened to be fairly close to the heart. This then lead to the theory that Ötzi had been murdered. When the team of scientists fell upon this mysterious arrow, they came to a conclusion that the person that shot him had to have come up behind him and pulled the arrow shaft out of his back. Scientists have been trying to find the exact way Ötzi died, but all we have are theories.

One of the most significant objects that Ötzi was carrying at the moment was a copper
