Evolution is the theory that all animals came from similar ancestors in the past, and have mutated into present day animals. Charles Darwin was one of the theorists who contributed to the evolution theory, and this is why evolution is a possible theory and why it makes sense. “Survival of the fittest”, means that if something is born with a type of illness, which makes it so that it cannot reproduce, get nutrition, or anything that makes it hard or impossible to live, it will die off, this is also known as “Natural Selection”. Through “Natural Selection”, is where evolution comes in, when something is fit to live it will reproduce and have offspring which can possibly mutate or ‘”evolve” to make it so it is better at surviving than the …show more content…
Scientists have shown that continents float on the mantle, the part of the Earth’s crust where magma is located. These continents moved due to faults in the tectonic plates, and at some point in time they were all together and made up a giant mass of land called Pangea. Pangea is a very believable fact because when comparing the coast of North America and Africa, there are the same, or a mutated version of that animal, proving the Pangea theory. The reason why Pangea relates to the question is because rivers, mountains, separate species of animals or in this case, the sea, and both species mutate differently because one monkey in Africa cannot reproduce with a monkey across the ocean, so the mutation cannot spread to the other separated species. People also ask, “How come we are not evolving anymore?” There is one theory that says, because humans save the sick and ill that “Survival of the fittest” does not matter anymore and evolution does not occur. The theory also states that even though we might not evolve anymore, our intelligence can still increase which makes up for our lack of
