Personal Narrative On Thanksgiving

When I woke up on Thanksgiving day, I went straight to the kitchen to help my mom out; my mom was cutting up potatoes to put them in a pot to make mashed potatoes. I asked her what to do, and she told me to make the macaroni and cheese. I opened the noodle bag, and when I went to put the noodles in the boiling water, I dropped half of the bag of noodles. My sister Marielva, my brother Francisco, my dad Francisco, and my cousins Daniela and Paola that stayed over laughed and made fun of me. I got so annoyed with them and scream “ at least I am helping out.” “well you are messing things up more than you are helping out,” my sister giggled. It smelled amazing in the kitchen. Everyone was finally getting to my house, the first person that got there was my aunt Ale. My aunt Ale brought the turkey, cranberry, a delicious three leches cake, and cornbread in different shapes. “Where do I put all the food,” my aunt asked. “Just put it near the stove” my mom replied. Then my aunt Rocio got there with another turkey and delicious desserts like a pumpkin roll, cake pops, pumpkin pies, and cupcakes. Of course, they had to gossip, and the children play and make a mess because we were waiting for my grandparents Estela and Manuel, uncle Manuel, and aunt Paulina. My grandma Estela and grandpa Manuel got there with my uncle, Manuel with a turkey, ham, gravy, stuffing, mouthwatering tamales, and a pumpkin roll that my uncle's girlfriend gave to him. I was so hungry and my aunt Paulina was taking forever to get here, she is always late to everything.So my cousins and I started snacking on some scrumptious flaming hots. Finally, my aunt Paulina got there with her delicious potato salad, store-bought pumpkin pie, whip cream, and different flavors of coke. I told my mom “I think you should but the food to heat up because then everyone is going to complain that the food is cold.” and she advised, “yeah we should help me put as much as we can.” I told her to heat it up because I knew that they were going to gossip forever.
