Simultaneously, I want to become a supervisor who creates team organizational citizenship behavior (TOCB). Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) includes behaviors similar to helping coworkers who have high workloads and helping newcomers adjust to the organization (Yun, Cox, Sims, & Salam, 2007, p. 172). Yun et al. (2007) hypothesized that leadership influences team organizational citizenship behavior through job satisfaction. Based on the results, empowering and transformational leadership related positively to team organizational citizenship behavior (Yun et al., 2007). Empowering leadership represents a significant paradigm shift and emphasizes follower self-influence (Yun et al., 2007, p. 174). In addition to becoming a supervisor, another step that I must take in order to accomplish this goal is to learn how to become a transformational and empowering leader. Communicating with other leaders, in addition to my team members, will assist me in becoming a transformational and empowering leader.
