Pit Bulls and Stereotypical Pit Bulls

What do you believe? That pit bulls are the most misunderstood breed. Or that they are no good? Over seventy percent of the public believes that they are naturally an aggressive dog, and only fifteen percent of the public believes that they are the same as any other dog breed. In this paper I will be comparing and contrasting the pit bull and the stereotypical pit bulls. I will also be comparing and contrasting the myths and truths about pit bulls. So let’s begin.

Once it was illegal for them to have baiting rinks the more popular they became. There is the history, so now we can talk about the myths. Do you believe everything you hear? I wouldn’t because every dog breed can be aggressive not just pit bulls. The myth of pit bulls having locking jaws.

What ever! A pit bull is as functionally the same as any other breed of dog. The don’t even have the most powerful bite. This has been proven through very precise testing. The strength behind any bite from an animal is in proportion to their size. Their jaw structure is inferred to morphology is not any different than any other breed of dog. There is no existence with a locking mechanism in the jaw structure of a pit bulls. What about pit bulls being able to bite with their front teeth chew with their back teeth? Okay what about the assumption that pit bulls have more bite pressure per square in (psi) than any other breed of dog. Bite pressure of a pit bull is considerable lower than most of the wild estimates. A domestic dog ( any dog owned by a person) has the P.S.I of 320 pounds of pressure. In testing results the pit bull has the lowest bite pressure per square inch than a Rottweiler with 328 P.S.I. The highest recorded pressure for a pit bull bite is 238 P.S.I.

Those aren't the only ones there's more, lots more. What about pit bulls having more attacks than any other breeds. Even though it is hard to exactly identify the culprit in a dog attack. It is always easier to blame the breed that have a higher amount of individual dogs in it. How popular the breed is doesn’t do much to help itself, because the breed is well known for its fighting ability.
