Difference in North and South Regions of pre-Civil War United States
The United States before the Civil War was divided in half! People in the North were very different than people in the South. One big difference was slavery, and it was a sore subject that changed morals, opinions, and life in the United States. People had very different lives in the North opposed to the South in many ways such as economics and overall way of life.
The first aspect that was different among North and South is their morals. In the South they had slaves which they needed to grow crops and make a living. They also thought slaves were so important that new states should be able to have slaves as well. The North however thought slave labor was morally wrong and
