Being a Christian has its difficulties, but being a Christian in the police force has more challenging difficulties. “Being a Christian or a Police Officer are in and of themselves diverse, but being both at the same time has proved to be more challenging than I could have ever imagined” explains Officer Johnathan Fontenot author of “The Christian Police Officer”. “Being a police officer is very challenging because the arena of responsibility is large and diverse…” They see people differently than police officers that aren’t Christians. “I love my job, it helps me know that I am serving my city and my God.” With all the controversy going on in our country right now, police officers go on with their job and never know if they will be able to go home and see their family again. They don’t have the support from the whole country, because the media made all Police Officers look like horribe people. When really most of them are amazing people who just want to keep their country, state and city safe. “With all the controversy in this country, most of us most police officers just want to be able to do our job to keep everyone else safe. We don’t intend to end someone’s life and we dont want to, but if they were a danger to everyone around them, then I would rather have one person losing their life other than 50-100 peoples lives lost because of that one person we could’ve stopped before those people lost their lives” says Officer
