Horizontal leadership is the exact opposite of Vertical leadership that relies on motivating employees through rewards and punishments. It requires supervision, oversight, organization, and performance monitoring. Fundamentally, leadership model does not try to innovate individuals. Instead, they are rooted in keeping things consistent and predictable over time with little growth. Errors and faults are aligned with the overall goal is to create efficient and routine procedures.
