The book argues that the criteria of evaluation of psychological disorders and abnormality include such subjective factors as maladaptive behavior or subjective discomfort. However, I find such explanations rather relative and biased. The displays of maladaptive behavior may be caused by experience of sudden happiness or great changes in the personal life. In this case, such a behavior witnesses bot about disorder, but a natural reaction of individual to new events and situations. From this point of view, I assume the factors of abnormality should consider more universal criteria and provide objective reasons for judging and analysis.
