1. What evidence is used to describe the importance or significance of the topic? If there is little evidence used, what evidence could be used to demonstrate the significance of the topic?
There is evidence showing the importance of campaign strategies and how they can affect voter choices. For educational purposes, it is our job as teachers to teach our students in a way as to show them the importance of civic duty part of which is voting, therefore showing the students the ins and outs of the process of elections and bill passing is exceedingly important. This resource give several different lessons that will help improve the in-depth knowledge of our government and the civic process which can only benefit the students and their lives outside of school.

The lesson plan I chose to review the most in-depth was, “Analyzing C-SPAN’s Campaign Coverage Map and Campaign Strategy” which is an almost fully fleshed out lesson plan. It is all about student-centered learning through a project that could either be group or individual, it promotes critical thinking skills when asking students to synthesizing why a candidate chose certain campaign strategies, and fits perfectly into inquiry-based learning through asking the students to step into the role of a campaign manager and view the process through that lens as well. The only reason why I might tweak this lesson is to bring in other lens for the students to view the process through such as the media or fundraising managers. For that reason I might make this lesson resource into a group project and have each member of the team have a different role that is necessary in order to run a successful campaign that way as a group the students get a better view of the process as a whole instead of just one piece of the
