I am writing this in response to a job posting on the Sentara website for the position of registered nurse at Sentara Leigh 4W cardiac telemetry unit.
I am a student nurse at Old Dominion University graduating May of 2018. I have completed my senior practicum from February to March of 2018 at your facility. The positive experience I’ve had working with the healthcare team and providing care for patients in your unit, led me to pursue a job opening in this specialty. All the nursing experience and knowledge that I have accumulated during that timeframe, I believe, better prepares me for the challenges this unit offers. In school, I have maintained a 3.79 GPA average and I’m a currently member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.
