Everyday, doctors and nurses work together to save lives. They make sure that their patients get the help that they need. In Tangerine, Paul made a choice that helped others, but it almost cost him his life.
Paul helped rescue the students who were stuck in the sinkhole at his school, Lake Windsor Middle. He did this with no hesitation because he is a brave and caring person on the inside, “I must have pulled twenty kidds up before I heard Mr. Ward’s voice yell, “That’s it! That’s everybody! Let’s get out of here!”” (Bloor 82). Paul gained strength during that moment, and he blocked out all of his fears so that he could save those students from any major injury.
