The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet Essay Who is to blame for the cause of deaths of Romeo and Juliet? The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet takes place in Verona, Italy. It is about an ongoing feud between two families, the Montagues and the Capulets. When the star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet meet everything goes downhill from there.
In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the Capulets are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because they hate all Montagues, they do not let Juliet make her own decisions, and they moved the wedding back a day.
The Capulets are responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because they hated all Montagues. In the story, it says, “As I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee.” (1.1.63-64) This quote means …show more content…

In conclusion, the Capulets are to blame because they do not let Juliet make decisions on her own.
