Views On Marriage Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, has many characters whose views and opinions that are vastly different and similar. In Act I, Paris and the Nurse have similar views on marriage. Paris knows Juliet is still young, but wants her to marry him. The Nurse thinks Juliet is old enough to marry and should marry Paris because he is handsome and a fine young gentleman. The Nurse and Paris both want Juliet to marry a fine young man, that man being Paris himself. When Lady Capulet, Nurse, and Juliet are talking of marriage, Nurse describes Paris as perfect.
