Before the Second Amendment even reached the spotlight, the founders had to devise the Constitution and the Bill of RIghts to ensure the American citizens that their new found country would not wind up in the same state of affairs that they had abandoned in England. It is known that the Constitution was fighting to stay alive in the new nation. Granted, that the ratification period was practically a silent warfare between two political parties, the Federalists and the anti-Federalists. Incidentally, the fate of the Constitution rested on the shoulders of Virginia, which could either bring it to its knees, or raise it as high as the heavens. Many factors were at stake according to Virginians, among them were slavery, balance of power, and
