I completely agree with you that there is a bigger message in this movie, Selma than blacks or colored people were being mistreated and a small biography of Dr. Martin Luther King. Yes, Selma was about a nonviolence protest with the goal to letting black people to register to vote but it was also about the afterward of this movement, where death was included and also the consequences many had to go thought with being part of these marches. This movie shows that others need to work in order to achieve something they might want in this case vote, they decided to march for this reasons. This movie also showed what officers were like, and how blacks lived before. It also focuses on how registering to vote led other to have many good paying jobs,
