Sexual assault has always been a big issue on college campuses. Women students are the most affected by rape and have seen their life change after being rape. The impacts of rape on women such as unhappiness, depression, stress, fear and anger have shown that the issue need to be took seriously. Many universities should find a way to reduce or either eradicate sexual assault on campuses. As Joan Cook said a supportive environment should be created to allow women victim of rape to talk about the issue and how they feel. By doing that, it will not only decrease the among of sexual assault, but also, it will allow rapist to be punished. I am in rage, and I ask for justice when I heard about the issue of rape. The issue of rape and it consequences should be taught not only in college, but also in middle and high school where most students reach the age of puberty and begin to have the need of having sex. Parents also have a great responsibility on how the raise their children, and they should be encouraged to talk about the impacts of sexual assault to their children. In addition, the government should reinforce law based on rape, and it sanction should be high in order to discourage and put fear on rapists about the impacts of their action. Furthermore, media should also play a big role on informing female on how to avoid rape, and what to do if they are rape.
