Ancient Rome and America are different and similar in many ways. Today I’m going to talk about how they are similar and different. Because the modern U.S and Rome have many similar and differences, the lesson from Ancient Rome could help the U.S to avoid the fall and collapse that Rome experienced. Both America and Ancient Rome created global structures which influenced the world. They both have administrative, and economics. The economics are the same because they are both based off of trading and and have a big economic system. They also have military and culture. The military is the same because they are leaving to go places and they served their time for us. Because of this, the U.S. wouldn’t be the same as it is today. The influences that both Ancient Rome and America have is the architecture. The huge gaps between the rich and the poor are both really different. In America the rich people can buy anything they want that they can afford. And the poor people can’t really afford things and can sometimes be out on the streets. In Ancient Rome, the rich people are free and can do whatever they want and can’t get whatever they wanted. The poor people on the other hand , they were put into slavery and they had to work on building things like the Coliseum, and the Pantheon. The government is also different because America is a Democracy and Ancient Rome was a Monarchy. Also the way we get our water is way different. In America, they use water pipes and filters and in Ancient Rome, they used aqueducts, lead water pipes, and clay
