In Ancient Egypt there are things called social classes. Ancient Egypt is affected by the social classes with the pharaoh that gets treated like a god. There are 8 social classes that are all ranked differently. If one of the classes weren’t there then Ancient Egypt would fall apart.
At the top of the classes is the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh is the leader and is thought as of a god. The egyptian people believed that the gods sent down the Pharaoh to watch over the people and to lead them. The egyptian people also believe that they have to give the Pharaoh gifts and other things to keep the gods happy. The second ranked people were government officials that include nobles and priests. The scribes were the only ones who knew how to read and write. Scribes wrote and took care of a lot of government records. Artisans could make a lot of things that the other egyptians couldn’t. Some things that the artisans made were tools and they made jewelry to wear. They also sold a lot of the stuff they made. Some artisans also teached schools for people to become scribes. The farmers were important in egypt. The farmers grew a lot of wheat for the people. When people would have to pay taxes, the farmers paid their taxes in wheat instead. The wheat was kept by the pharaoh incase there was a virus or disease that came that got rid of all the crops and they wouldn’t grow. Farmers also helped with mining stone and building monuments. At the way bottom of it was the slaves and servants. The slaves and servants did a lot of things for the royal family. The servants brought them their food for a lot of their meals. The slaves did some farming and/or harvesting. Women were not really just in one category, women could fit in any category. In Ancient Egypt women were treated the same way as men were. Women could also do the same things men could do, if a woman wanted to rule a country they could do
