Stereotypes may not be the only motivation behind somewhat conservative actions of various sororities. There is; however, a high correlation between cultural expectation, sorority culture socialization processes and the simplified image placed on sororities and their members. The process of sorority participation in a complication of personal culture, external geographic culture, university culture, and sorority chapter culture. The relationships between these cultures, or rather subcultures, makes for a complex set of expectations and stereotypes that either agree or disagree. According to my observations, awareness of stereotypes allows for sorority members to manipulate them, which further complicates this relationship. The evidence itself
