Stereotypes may not be the only motivation behind somewhat conservative actions of various sororities. There is; however, a high correlation between cultural expectation, sorority culture socialization processes and the simplified image placed on sororities and their members. The process of sorority participation in a complication of personal culture, external geographic culture, university culture, and sorority chapter culture. The relationships between these cultures, or rather subcultures, makes for a complex set of expectations and stereotypes that either agree or disagree.
