+ White Rice. One cup of white rice contain 0.6 g or 2% DV for fiber
+ White Bread each slice (31g) contain 2 gram of fiber 8% DV for fiber
In order to get more fiber I would replace the white rice, white bread with brown rice and whole grain bread. 1 cup of brown rice contain 3.5g or 14% DV dietary fiber . slice of Whole grain bread with Omega 3 contain 5g (20%) dietary fiber .
Brown rice has more fiber than white rice. The difference in amount of fiber is due to the fact that the two types of rice are processed differently. White rice is brown rice that has gone through some changes in the milling process. With brown rice, only the husk is removed. In white rice the bran is also removed. The bran is the source of fiber in brown rice. In bread "whole grain" refers to flour that is made from all parts of the wheat grain kernel (the bran, germ and endosperm). The bran is the source of fiber in Whole grain bread. There is less fiber in white bread because the bran has been removed during processing.
