The narrator in the story is guilty of the death of Doodle for many reasons and I am going to tell you how he is guilty of his death and how and tell you how Pride is a destructive force.

The first reason that Brother is responsible for Doodles death is that he pushed Doodle too hard because he didn’t want him to be different. He was ashamed of having a crippled Brother and that’s the only reason he pushed him because he was slower than everyone else.
