When society comes together in this modern era to address women’s rights, we have to take many things into consideration because there have been so many challenges to overcome. In the last one hundred years, women have achieved victories in many battles toward equality with men but are not yet finished with their hard work. The difference can even be felt in the most powerful military in the world. Little by little, there are arguments being made to allow women to serve in combat infantry units where there have never before been allowed to. This issue is that important. In doing so, older women are inspiring the next generation to follow and learn that it is not only acceptable and purposeful but necessary to challenge the existing or established legislation that may be wrongfully attacking some of its citizens (in this case, women). Just because something is law, doesn’t mean that it’s right. In short, Any social movement rises or falls on how well it attracts resources, mobilizes people, and forges alliances” (Macionis, 2010) This issue also employs this theory because on both sides of the argument, the role of the media to send the message is gigantic. Every source of information technology is used to bring to the attention of all the supporters of this debate the message from both sides, money is definitely a factor in this
