When I think of someone who is a member of the National Honors Society, I think of a student who is not afraid to take a stance, who is ready to make a change, and who continuously excels in what they do in and out of the classroom. When it comes to the four pillars “holding” this organization together, all contribute to being a well-rounded individual. When it comes to me, I cannot wait to make a difference in the world. Out of all the four pillars, I strongly believe that I relate most to the pillar of “character.” I believe I relate most to the pillar of character because of my loyalty to the game of softball. Playing a sport in which failure is expected more than success, it can be hard to keep yourself together when struggling on the field.
